Arteta left Arsenal due to the consistent injuries and took up a coaching role under the Spanish tactician at Man City, to help him with soft landing in his first season as Head coach in England. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager was unveiled last week and was seen giving a long speech at his first training session with the players at the club. Arteta was by his side, helping him through it. The players available were those that were not involved in international tournaments this summer. Long term coach Brian Kidd was also on ground during the training. Kidd was believed would be on his way out of the club when Guardiola took over but he managed to convince him to remain. Arteta announced his departure from the Emirates few days ago. He claimed he was interested in more than just the playing side of the game. He added that the opportunity to play under Guardiola was an amazing one. The coach was pictured having dinner at Australasia Restaurant in the Spinningfields area of the city where the likely discussions would centre on the incoming season and a few transfer options such as John Stones from Everton.
Guardiola would be looking at conquering the English Premier League having won the domestic league in Spain with Barcelona three times and the German Bundesliga three times with Bayern Munich. The English Premier League would surely be a tough one to lift with the quality of numerous oppositions in place. The coach is aware and has held off from making major changes until all the players return from their holidays or international duties.
