Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says the Premier League encounter with Norwich City is a must-win game for him and his players. The Gunners manager said this in his pre-match presser ahead of the game billed for the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta is under pressure to deliver the three points at stake against Norwich City after the poor start to the season which saw Arsenal lose all their first three games without scoring any goal. Mikel Arteta told reporters during his pre-match press conference earlier this week that Arsenal need to start winning games to climb up the league table.
The Gunners occupy last on the Premier League standings at the moment after scoring zero goal and conceding nine goals in their first three games for the new season and they face Norwich City who are one place above them on the table on goal scored. Just like what’s obtainable with the Gunners, Norwich City also lost their first three games this season having returned to the Premier League after spending last season in the English Championship. Norwich City scored for the first time in their last league game at home to Leicester City and that is why they are second bottom on the league standings and ahead of Arsenal on the league standings. Norwich City were unfortunate to lose 2-1 to FA Cup champions Leicester City in their last game in the Premier League just before the international break.
Prior to losing at home to the Foxes, Norwich City had lost heavily to title challengers Liverpool and defending champions Manchester City. Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino were all on target for Liverpool in a 3-0 away win over Norwich City, while Jack Grealish was amongst the goals in the 5-0 home win over Norwich City in the colours of holders Manchester City.
